About Me

About Me

My name is Shaquinn [Quinn] Johnson. I'm 27 years old and born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am the youngest of three. I have two older brothers,

I have been crafting narratives since a young age. It started as a hobby to keep my grandmother distracted as she was sick when I was younger. When I was ten, I watched the stage play Diary of a Mad Black Woman by Tyler Perry. It clicked that I was watching something I wanted to do—most of the stories I like to create are things that have to do with death, broken relationships, drug dealings, and growth because those things happen in everyday life and are relatable. After graduating from Bay View High School, I decided not to attend college, so my mom signed me up for the Ameri Corps/FEMA Core program. After graduating from that program, I got a job with FEMA under their individual assistance branch as a Disaster Survivors Assistance Program as a reservist when I was 20, where I deployed to presidentially declared disasters and helped survivors register for FEMA assistance or answer any questions they may have about their cases. After that, I got a job at home as a correctional officer, where I watched over the occupants and ensured they followed the institution's rules. But I wasn't content with solely doing those two jobs and decided to pursue my childhood passion for creative writing/Scriptwriting.

My recent college completion at LA Film School has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to captivate audiences.
